Intelligent Medical Platform (IMP) - Overview

Intelligent Medical Platform (IMP) is a revolutionary step in the nascent domain of healthcare services. IMP is primarily a platform which extends the core technologies and infrastructure of existing clinical decision support system (CDSS). IMP is envisaged to provide an array of highly differentiated services to cater needs of various users. IMP introduces innovative technologies such as medical context-aware dialoging, hologram-based 3D-user interaction, multi-level knowledge acquisition and evolution, legacy system integration, among others. In this regard both patients and physicians can benefit from IMP for diagnostic and treatment services. Moreover, specialized entities such as hospitals and universities can be part of the ever-growing family of consortium members and collaborates, which in turn benefit from the generous technical resources and amenities provided by Kyung Hee University.

IMP is capable of providing diagnostic and treatment services to patients and physicians. Patients can interact with system through 3D user interface which renders a holographic avatar; a virtual medical assistant. This form of interaction enhances user’s trust and amenability over the system. Hence, it’s deemed to be highly beneficial for both the elderly population as well as the younger generation as per their idiosyncrasies.

Expert users such as physicians and paramedical staff can leverage IMP for an array of specialized services such as for the treatment plan recommendation, for identifying the most relevant scholarly research for evidence-based prescription, in deciphering patterns of malignant growth through highly accurate medical image segmentation and region of interest localization, providing education to junior physicians over a range of medical conditions, among others.
